1. Data Sources

StaffSignal aggregates job listing data from the following publicly accessible job boards:

2. Collection Methods

We collect data exclusively from publicly accessible pages and APIs. Our collection pipelines:

  • Access only public job listing pages — no login required
  • Respect robots.txt directives where applicable
  • Implement rate limiting to minimize server impact
  • Do not bypass authentication or access restricted content

3. robots.txt Compliance

We review robots.txt files for each source platform and make reasonable efforts to comply with crawl directives. We respect rate limits and avoid patterns that could impact platform performance. If a platform operator wishes to restrict our access, we will comply upon notification.

4. PII Handling

Job listings are employer-published content intended for public consumption. We do not collect:

  • Job seeker personal data (names, emails, phone numbers)
  • Application materials (resumes, CVs, cover letters)
  • User account data from source platforms

If a job listing inadvertently contains personal contact information (e.g., a recruiter's email or phone number in the description), we flag and review such instances. PII detected in free-text fields is redacted in our processed dataset upon identification.

5. Data Removal Requests

Employers or platform operators who wish to request removal of specific listings or opt out of data collection may contact us at [email protected]. We process removal requests within 5 business days.

6. Data Quality

Our pipelines include:

  • Hash-based and fuzzy deduplication across platforms
  • Salary parsing and normalization to local currency
  • Location normalization to city-level granularity
  • Schema validation on all incoming records

We do not guarantee the accuracy of source data. Listings may contain employer errors, outdated information, or test postings published by source platforms.

7. Update Frequency

  • Incremental updates: Every 15 minutes for new and updated listings
  • Full re-scan: Daily comprehensive scan across all platforms
  • Lifecycle detection: Active for SEEK platforms (JobStreet, JobsDB) via daily page verification. Per-platform calibration for remaining platforms on Q2 2026 roadmap.
